Something a little different….

I had great fun experimenting with abstract/semi-abstract landscapes at a two day workshop with Lewis Noble earlier this month (www.lewisnoble.co.uk).  We spent the first day sketching near Buxton in the Peak District national park using charcoal, inks and acrylics.  Back at the studio we tore up our sketches, collaged them and set out to create a series of paintings loosely based on the edited sketches.  These are three paintings started at the workshop and finished at home – in acrylic, water mixable oil, charcoal, graphite and PVA glue!
