Greening up

Just that bit of sunshine and everything starts to green up (including the weeds in my garden!).  Recently I popped over to Fineshade Woods on one such sunny day.  The sun was warm and producing wonderful shadows.  I love that acid green that one gets in early Spring.  By late Spring it’s gone so it’s a case of catch it while you can.

Late Winter, early Spring

Brown and blue are the two colours I associate with late Winter, early Spring.  The hedges have not yet greened up and the fields have been ploughed ready for seed sowing.  On a sunny day when the sky is blue there is a real feeling of airiness and expectation.

I am continuing to have fun with mixed media and getting splashy with the paint!
